The Nashoba Regional Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Clinton, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, Nashoba Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Clinton is ranked 91st).
Axel Ramos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clinton, rushing for 166 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also picking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Cox, who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Clinton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Nashoba Regional's QB won't forget Ethan Frisch anytime soon given Frisch sacked him twice.
Nashoba Regional bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.7 points per game. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Nashoba Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clinton also has no future games currently scheduled.
