Oakwood suffered their closest  defeat since November 23rd on Monday. They fell just short of the Armstrong Trojans by a score of  45-42. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
 Oakwood lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Rylee Wright, who  went 5 for 9  on her way to 10  points and eight  rebounds. Wright continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Smoot, who  posted six  points.
Oakwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Armstrong, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakwood will take on Watseka in a holiday battle at  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Watseka will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  victory, something Oakwood surely won't give up without a fight. Armstrong and Milford will compete for holiday cheer  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
