After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hopewell, Mallard Creek was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 19-6 margin over the North Mecklenburg Vikings. The game marked the Mavericks' most dominant win of the season so far.
Alondra Rivera-Maldonado made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit.
