On Thursday, Linsly was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to the Redskins. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Linsly came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in West Virginia, while the Redskins are ranked 367th in Ohio).
Katie Franklin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Caldwell, scoring 22 points along with three steals. Franklin is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laynie Sidwell, who scored ten points along with four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Linsly and nudges their season record down to 6-16. As for Caldwell, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.
Linsly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Caldwell will be playing at home against the Pilots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
