Glades Day put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 17-4 margin over the American Heritage Stallions. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 13 runs or more this season.
Kristabella Flournah was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Maya Longsworth was a standout: she scored a run while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Azariah Upshur, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Glades Day hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Heritage struck out 15 times.
