Libertyville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Lemont Lemont HS by a score of 24-14 on Friday. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Preuss, who threw for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes. Aiden Rudman helped Preuss out on the ground, picking up 74 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 79 yards.
Libertyville has already played their next game, a 21-14 loss against Naperville North on the 5th. As for Lemont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-37 defeat against Kaneland on the 5th.
