The Aliquippa Quips will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greater Latrobe Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aliquippa will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Two weeks ago, Aliquippa earned a 27-17 victory over Central Valley.
Meanwhile, Greater Latrobe stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-7 win over West Allegheny on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Greater Latrobe.
John Wetzel was his usual excellent self, rushing for 247 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Brady Prohovic, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Aliquippa's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Greater Latrobe, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
