Christian Academy was led to victory by Leah Stevens and Alexus Bryant. Stevens scored 12 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds, while Bryant scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Bryant's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carly Stevens, who scored seven points along with six assists.
Crothersville bumped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.8 points per game. As for Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.
Crothersville will head out on the road to face off against Lanesville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lanesville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Crothersville in Indiana (Lanesville is ranked 26th, while Crothersville is ranked 390th). As for Christian Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Highlands Latin on January 6th. Highlands Latin is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
