The Raymond Seagulls were the 47-42 winner over the Aberdeen Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Raymond was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 55-54 to Aberdeen. Raymond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Raymond lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christopher Quintana. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with seven steals and five assists. Chris Banker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Aberdeen was led to victory by Charlie Ancich and Manny Garcia. Ancich scored 11 points along with six rebounds, while Garcia scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ancich has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Garcia, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Raymond's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Aberdeen, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymond will challenge Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aberdeen, they will head out on the road to square off against Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centralia is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
