The Geneva Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Legacy Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Geneva's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Holy Cross Lutheran Academy with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Knights have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Wyatt Strokes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Strokes was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Legacy Charter fell victim to Lake Buena Vista and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Vipers, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Legacy Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Pena, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Geneva's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Legacy Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Legacy Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Geneva hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. It's a different story for Legacy Charter, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Geneva's hitters?
Geneva took their victory against Legacy Charter when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 12-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Geneva since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
