Northside Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 70-12 victory over Hickory Grove Christian at home. With Northside Christian Academy ahead 47-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Northside Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Carelock, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JaKaila Gaskin, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy came up short against Westminster Catawba Christian on Tuesday and fell 55-46.
Northside Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-8.
Northside Christian Academy strolled past Metrolina Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 45-30.
