Softball Recap: Dysart Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Dysart can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Moon Valley Rockets 13-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Demons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Savannah Farmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. She also put up six hits, which were her first of the season. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Reyna Rodriguez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mya Sias, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dysart's victory bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Moon Valley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dysart will take on Carl Hayden Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moon Valley, they will head out to challenge Shadow Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Matadors have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
