 On the hitting side,  Elissa Guerrero was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  doubles and one  RBI. Those  three  doubles gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Lexi Avila, who  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run.

The  victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Whittier's win bumped their record up to 2-14. As for La Serna, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
