Make it six blowout wins for the Norview Pilots this season. Everything went their way against Lake Taylor on Wednesday as Norview made off with a 72-51 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Norview has posted since December 15, 2023.
Norview was led to victory by Leyla Minor and Kiyah Fitchett. Minor scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Fitchett scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Minor has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Jamyah Parker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Norview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Lake Taylor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norview will challenge Maury at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Taylor, they will head out on the road to square off against Granby at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Granby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Lake Taylor is ranked 73rd).
