After a string of five wins, the Wheeler Mustangs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 67-46 loss at the hands of Texline. Wheeler lost against Texline in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 69-44 score last time.

Another player making a difference was Collin Alston, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Texline, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeler will take on West Texas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (West Texas is ranked 201st, while Wheeler is ranked 189th). As for Texline, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Des Moines at 7:30 p.m. Des Moines is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
