The Douglass Bulldogs are on the road again on Monday to play the Halstead Dragons at 4:00 p.m.
Last Thursday, Douglass came up short against Medicine Lodge and fell 8-4.
Meanwhile, Halstead entered their tilt with Smoky Valley with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Vikings on Tuesday. Halstead might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by eight runs or more this season.
Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Halstead, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Everything went Douglass' way against Halstead when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as Douglass made off with a 10-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Douglass since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
