The Northridge Raiders waltzed into their match Wednesday with 16 straight wins but they left with 17. They blew past Tippecanoe Valley 67-42. Northridge might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Leading Northridge to victory were Rielyn Goodwin and Ella Mohamed. Goodwin scored 16 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Mohamed scored 25 points. The contest was Goodwin's third in a row with at least ten points. Sabrina Miller was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
When it comes to explaining why Tippecanoe Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ava Egolf. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Tippecanoe Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northridge's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
Northridge will head out on the road to face off against Warsaw at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Warsaw is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Tippecanoe Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Knox at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th. Knox will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Tippecanoe Valley is ranked 38th).
