Texas and Whitehouse are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Texas Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Whitehouse Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Texas earned a 62-49 win over Pine Tree. Given Texas' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Pine Tree is ranked 763rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Whitehouse came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over Mt. Pleasant.
The win makes it two in a row for Texas and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Whitehouse, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
Texas couldn't quite finish off Whitehouse in their previous matchup on January 2nd and fell 37-34. Can Texas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
