1A Nisqually - Division 1 recap Nov. 7, 2012
The longest pass in the league this week came courtesy of Bellevue Christian's Scott Miller. He connected with Jonah Graff on a 53-yard throw and catch as the Vikings lost to Lynden Christian.
Vashon Island's dynamic duo of Sam Schoenberg and Garret Starr proved tough for South Whidbey to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Schoenberg threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Starr had 155 yards receiving. Josh Lawson helped Vashon Island's passing attack out by catching one ball for 43 yards.
Kemper McQuaid provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bellevue Christian lost to the Lyncs. He completed 21 passes for 242 yards and also ran for 40 yards. McQuaid's favorite target this week was Graff, who caught five passes for 102 yards.
Mitiku Little was the most productive running back in 1A Nisqually - Division 1 this week. He ran for 89 yards on 10 carries as Port Townsend fell to the Falcons. Matt Cain also contributed to the rushing game with 49 yards on the ground.
Brendan Davis made the biggest impact on defense this week as Eatonville fell to Meridian. The senior pulled down two interceptions.
On the ground, the Cruisers' Bradon Atkins has rushed for 952 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Starr. The Vashon Island star has 49 catches for 797 yards.
