Southeast is 9-1 against West since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Southeast Golden Buffalo will head out on the road to face off against the West Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Southeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Southeast earned a 61-54 victory over Kapaun Mt. Carmel. With that victory, Southeast brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.
Southeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alana Webb, who scored 28 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Webb has scored at least 25% of Southeast's points. Another player making a difference was Leela Jones, who scored 15 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, West was beaten by East 54-17 on Tuesday. West has struggled against East recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Bishop Carroll's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Southeast's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
Southeast skirted past West 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Southeast repeat their success, or does West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
