You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Mid-Buchanan and West Platte. Mid-Buchanan steamrollered West Platte 46-8. Followers of Mid-Buchanan probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Mid-Buchanan's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. West Platte wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 22-8 heading into the break. The Mid-Buchanan defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Mid-Buchanan take on Lawson at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. West Platte will take on Plattsburg at home at 7:00 PM. Those two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with seven consecutive losses for West Platte and six for Plattsburg.
