If the Odyssey Institute Minotaur were riding high off their 38-5 takedown of the River Valley Dust Devils last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Odyssey Institute ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-38 walloping at the hands of Parker on Friday. Odyssey Institute has struggled against Parker recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Shelby Hunt and Danica Slack certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hunt scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four blocks, while Slack scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunt has scored all season.
Odyssey Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Parker, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odyssey Institute will take on Kingman at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Parker, they will head out on the road to challenge Needles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Needles is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
