 This is the second loss in a row for Sulphur and  nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Acadiana, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Sulphur took a serious blow against Acadiana  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, falling  35-7. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sulphur was down  21-0.
