Antioch extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Overton Bobcats 55-10. The game marked the Bears' most dominant victory of the season.

Andre Adams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 215 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 43 yards and one score. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Adrian Watts was another key player, rushing for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Antioch proved: they limited Overton to a paltry three yards per carry. The team can thank Kaleb Doss for the heroic effort on defense: he. Antioch didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.9.

Antioch's defense didn't let Elias Childers, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Overton's QB won't forget Davon Rhodes anytime soon given he sacked him twice. As for Overton, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Antioch is ranked 58th).

When it comes to explaining why Overton lost, don't look at Trenton Edwards. Despite the final result, he rushed for 116 yards, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antioch will welcome Franklin Road Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Overton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rossview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
