Olivia Presswood made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amy Benson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Davenport, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Walker Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.
