Germantown extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 6 this week by beating Raymond, 24-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Mavericks.
Mendenhall made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,396 from 5,636.
Tyler Shell and Travis Singleton gave Germantown a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Shell threw for 61 yards and one touchdown, while Singleton ran for 112 yards. Teammate Dalton Bradfield added to the ground attack by rushing for 74 yards.
Cole Robinson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Florence fell to Port Gibson. He completed 10 passes for 174 yards and also ran for 12 yards. Robinson's favorite target this week was Austin Mathews, who caught two passes for 70 yards.
The Eagles' Robinson and Dalton Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robinson has thrown for 1248 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 35 catches for 701 yards. Singleton from Tim Shramek's team leads the league in rushing with 682 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Port Gibson takes on second place Magee. The Blue Waves bested Florence last week, while Magee beat Richland.

Terrell Luckey's team led 4A Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Rangers. Steven McNair ran for 82 yards in the win.
