Grace Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Patrick Wells, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds, and Justin Hain who scored 7 points. Another player making a difference was Davis Reid, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Regents blew past Timberlake Christian, posting a 56-27 victory on the road. The victory was just what Regents needed coming off of a 66-33 loss in their prior game.
Their wins bumped Grace Christian to 1-1 and New Covenant to 5-0.
