The Norwood Mustangs will challenge the Medfield Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Norwood will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Hopkinton, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Hillers on Monday. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Luke Walsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Sam Larkee was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Mike Grenham, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.
Meanwhile, Medfield narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bellingham 8-6. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly two runs.
Connor Hanna made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hanna was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Fessenden, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Herrick, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Medfield lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Norwood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Medfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Norwood came up short against Medfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, falling 5-1. Will the Mustangs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
