Softball Recap: Thayer Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thayer extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 11-4 in the process. They put the hurt on the Liberty Eagles with a sharp 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Liberty, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Liberty's part, Savannah Holdt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Holdt is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Looking ahead, Thayer will be playing at home against Winona at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
