Football Recap: Brunswick Piles Up the Points Against Evans

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brunswick). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Evans Knights 65-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Grant Moore, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. What's more, he racked up 150.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Josiah Gibbons handled things on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Brunswick didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aviyon Addison and Antwan Kirk. Addison got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Evans, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Brunswick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-0 win against Greenbrier on the 19th. As for Evans, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Effingham at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
