Football Recap: Brunswick Skates Past Evans with Ease

While Brunswick put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Evans. The Pirates breezed past the Knights to the tune of 65-0. That looming 65-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this season.

Grant Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 203 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, he racked up 150.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josiah Gibbons, who rushed for 87 yards and one score.

Brunswick didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aviyon Addison and Antwan Kirk. Addison got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win (which was Brunswick's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.3 points over those games. As for Evans, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brunswick will take on Greenbrier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evans, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Effingham at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
