Volleyball Recap: South Loup's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

South Loup came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Gibbon Buffaloes on Saturday. For South Loup, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory Gibbon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Nyachay Haidle paced South Loup's offense, picking up three kills. Haidle got some help from Rae Hagler and her four assists. Olivia Fitzgerald controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

South Loup's win bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Gibbon, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

Coming up, South Loup will face off against Mullen at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibbon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Wood River on the 13th.
