The Jenkins Warriors had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Swainsboro by a score of 63-55 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jenkins got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Aj bynum out in front who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah James, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Jenkins' victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Swainsboro, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jenkins will take on Coffee at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Coffee is ranked 238th, while Jenkins is ranked 234th). As for Swainsboro, they will be playing at home against Statesboro at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Statesboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
