The Red Rock Central Falcons shot 44% from beyond the arc for 11 threes to get past the Adrian Dragons this past Friday. Red Rock Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Adrian, sneaking past 74-70. That was the first win for the Falcons since their win over Edgerton three weeks ago.
Red Rock Central relied on the efforts of junior Dominik Smith, who had 17 points, and junior Luke Willhite, who had 13 points and six assists. That's the most points Willhite has had all year.
The victory bumped Red Rock Central's record up to 6-18. Adrian's defeat pushed them down to 7-11.
Red Rock Central will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against Mountain Lake/Comfrey Monday. Red Rock Central will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. The Dragons are staying on the road Monday to face off against Westbrook-Walnut Grove. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Adrian now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
