On Friday Spearfish take on Hot Springs at 6:00 PM. Spearfish aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
After having lost a blowout in their match two weeks ago against Belle Fourche, Spearfish were happy to find some success last Friday. Spearfish came out on top against Sturgis Brown by a score of 32-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Spearfish as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Hot Springs were able to grind out a solid win over Belle Fourche, winning 28-21. The success made it back-to-back wins for Hot Springs.
Their wins bumped Hot Springs to 4-1 and Spearfish to 1-4. In their victory, Hot Springs relied heavily on senior Morgan S. harkless, who punched in 2 rushing TDs and threw 2 TDs. Spearfish will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
