Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ellie Linx, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Linx's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kami Wilson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Lakeway Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Sprayberry, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Lakeway Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Downey Christian at 10:30 a.m. on January 7th. The timing isn't great for Downey Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lakeway Christian Academy has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Sprayberry and Lassiter will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lassiter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
