There's no place like home for Excelsior Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Carrollton Trojans on Saturday.

Excelsior Springs never let Carrollton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.

Jordin Price paced Excelsior Springs' offense, picking up six kills. Price were helped by Raelyn Kirtley and Lillah Shue, who contributed seven assists each.

Excelsior Springs' victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Carrollton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Excelsior Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against St. Joseph Christian on the 13th. As for Carrollton, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Brookfield on the 15th.
