The Kentwood Conquerors won the last time they faced the Kentridge Chargers, and things went their way on Friday too. Kentwood secured a 57-52 W over the Chargers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kentwood.
Despite the loss, Kentridge still got an impressive performance from Sydney Esperanza, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Esperanza is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Keowla, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Kentwood is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Kentridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
Kentwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kentridge will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
