The Classical Academy Caimans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Fallbrook 66-26. Classical Academy has not had much luck with Fallbrook recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Issac Davis, who scored 17 points. That was a full 65.4% of Classical Academy's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fallbrook can attribute much of their success to Malaki Brotherton, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brotherton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Samuel Carmona, who scored 12 points.
Classical Academy bumped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Fallbrook, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Classical Academy will take on San Diego Jewish Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fallbrook, they will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Carmel will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
