Even though the Tom Bean Tomcats have not done well against the Wolfe City Wolves recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Tom Bean walked away with a 43-36 victory over Wolfe City. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tom Bean.
Branson Ashlock was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Maguire Poole was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Tom Bean is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Wolfe City, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Tom Bean will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Honey Grove at 8:15 p.m. As for Wolfe City, they will head out on the road to take on Trenton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trenton has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
