After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stephenson, the Druid Hills Red Devils were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 41-35 W over Hapeville Charter. For Druid Hills, this counts as revenge for the 48-47 defeat Hapeville Charter walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Despite the loss, Hapeville Charter saw an underclassman step up: Tubriyia Daniels scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Druid Hills' win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Hapeville Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
Druid Hills will head out on the road to face off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Innocents Episcopal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 834 points over their last 11 games. As for Hapeville Charter, they and Stone Mountain will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Hapeville Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday.
