With a playoff game on the line, Ottawa Hills rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Colonel Crawford.
Meanwhile, Bluffton put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over Wynford on the road. Given Bluffton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Wynford is ranked 278th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bluffton can attribute much of their success to Landen Worcester, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Worcester was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
Ottawa Hills pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.1 points per game. As for Bluffton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.
