After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Center Hill, Houston was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Calhoun City Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. With that win, the Hilltoppers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Adam Smith made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs.
