In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Tunning, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. He has become a key player for Walnut Hills: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-10 otherwise. Braylon Dennis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anderson). They put the hurt on Madeira with a sharp 19-2 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Raptors as they're now sitting on five straight.
Mason Glen looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Eric Fleetwood was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Nick Rosiello, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Anderson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Anderson pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Walnut Hills, their record now sits at 4-10.
Walnut Hills couldn't quite get it done against Anderson in their previous meeting on Monday as they fell 7-4. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
