The Westwood Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakhaven. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Westwood of the 68-61 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Oakhaven's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jertavien Williams led the charge by scoring 25 points. Williams hasn't dropped below 15 points for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Jermiah Tucker, who scored 15 points.
Westwood has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Oakhaven, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakhaven, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Memphis School of Excellence Winchester at 7:30 p.m.
