Scranton Prep dropped their record down to 7-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Riverside Vikings by a score of 7-5. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Paul Rusincovitch was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Johnny Petrosky was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI.
As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.
