The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans will face off against the Christ School Greenies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wesleyan Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Christ School likes a good challenge.
Wesleyan Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past High Point Christian Academy 18-1 on Thursday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Josh Hammond made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. He has become a key player for Wesleyan Christian Academy: the team is 9-3 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, Blake Goff was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Wesleyan Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 10-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cole Bowman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Wesleyan Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Christ School was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Joseph's Catholic on Thursday, taking the game 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greenies.
Patrick Robichaud looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Christ School let Jonathan Reece and Wells Alderman run wild. Reece went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, while Alderman went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Garin Gosnell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Wesleyan Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Christ School, their win bumped their record up to 8-14-1.
Wesleyan Christian Academy took their victory against Christ School when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Greenies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
