The Tabernacle Christian Conquerors were the 50-33 winner over the Union Grove Christian Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tabernacle Christian lost to the Patriots at home by a decisive 56-40 margin on Monday. Tabernacle Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Union Grove Christian found their leader in underclassman Taylor Hanes, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hanes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Klaira Cromer, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Tabernacle Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Union Grove Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.
Tabernacle Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Union Grove Christian is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Royals at 5:15 p.m. on February 8th.
