Softball Recap: Kennedy Has No Trouble Against Kelly

Kennedy never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Kelly Trojans 15-0. Considering the Crusaders have won ten matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennedy got a massive performance out of Jessica Monarrez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Monarrez has posted over her last ten games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Gallas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .826. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kelly, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Bulls College Prep on the 29th. Kelly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
