The Richland Springs Coyotes can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They breezed by Lometa at home to the tune of 77-30. Richland Springs is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Richland Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Sutherland out in front who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sutherland is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. Connor Womack was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Richland Springs pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lometa, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland Springs will challenge Rochelle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Richland Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Lometa, they will head out on the road to square off against Lohn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lohn comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
